The Best Truffle Dishes in Metro Manila

Pam Ortiz Lists

Since truffle dishes aren’t very popular here in the Philippines, I easily get excited whenever I find one on the menu. And whenever I find one, I always feel the need to try it. Lol. Among the (relatively) few truffle dishes that I’ve had here, I could say that only a handful have genuine flavor. Sad, but I’m still hopeful for the rise of really good truffle dishes here in the near future— go, local chefs!

For the meantime, let’s indulge in these distinctive truffle dishes that definitely deserve our hundreds of pesos:

  1. Mama Lou’s: Truffle Mac & Cheese
  2. Mama Lou’s mac and cheese can surely melt someone’s heart. The dominance of the truffle cream is just right, and it perfectly complements the sourness-sweetness of the cheeses. This is definitely my go-to comfort food— make it yours, too!

Truffle Mac & Cheese (Php 325)

Mama Lou’s has 4 branch locations: Ayala Malls the 30th, UP Town Center, BF International, and Evia Lifestyle Center.

  3. Sensei: Salmon Belly Aburi
  4. I had never imagined the possibility of combining truffle and sushi until I had my very first toched salmon sushi at Sensei. Ever since then, I’ve always thought of Bruce Ricketts as a sushi god. Lol.

    Salmon Belly Aburi (Php 390)

The dish is quite pricey, yes, but it’s definitely worth it. Every bite feels like a party in your mouth, with the truffle oil as the life of the party— and like any other great party, you’d never want it to end. Go ahead and give your taste buds a treat at 268 Aguirre Avenue, BF Homes. *wink*

  5. Pound: Truffle Risotto Tater Tots
  6. This is definitely one of my favorite truffle dishes because of its super affordable price. Whenever we have this at Pound (which is all the time lol), we always feel like we’re getting more than what we paid for. I bet you would, too:

Truffle Risotto Tater Tots (Php 75)

Yes, you read that right— just two digits for the price of a legit truffle dish— you won’t just get to indulge in some crunchy truffle goodness, you’ll also get a change for a hundred pesos! Head over to either of their branches in SM Megamall and Bonifacio High Street now.

  7. Trattoria Altrove: Prosciutto Crudo con Tartufo
  8. Trattoria Altrove’s brick-oven pizzas are always made with love and with the freshest ingredients, and they don’t even have to explicitly declare it— you’ll easily taste the love and freshness after having your first bite on any of their pizza creations. Yup, you’ll never go wrong with anything on their pizza menu, but if you’re feeling a little fancy, here’s something you won’t regret:

Prosciutto Crudo con Tartufo (Php 720)

Best. (Truffle) Pizza. Ever. Trattoria Altrove originated in El Nido, but they recently branched out along Tropical Avenue (near Prep Camp) in BF International.

  9. Ooma: Anago Truffle Mushroom Hot Soba
  10. We had been to Ooma a lot of times already, but due to their wide menu selection, we “never” got to find this particular dish on the menu until we reached the point of being a little too satiated with sushi (and yet we still chose to dine at Ooma). Since I like my soba cold rather than hot, I was a little hesitant about ordering it. But then, the fact that it’s made with truffles overpowered such hesitation. Lol.

Anago Truffle Mushroom Hot Soba (Php 565)

The broth is so rich and flavorful, the soba’s so tender, and the anago’s yummy and fresh. Ahh, such a comforting dish, especially during the cold weather.

Ooma has three branches in Metro Manila: SM Megamall, Rockwell, and Bonifacio High Street Central.

  1. Hi guys, just signed up at debettvn. They seem to be focusing a lot on Vietnamese players (unsurprisingly!). The platform is pretty smooth and easy to use. Might be worth a look if you’re in the region: debettvn

  4. Interesting read! Seeing more platforms prioritize responsible gambling is great. Security is key, especially with apps like the casino plus app – verification steps seem crucial for a safe experience. Definitely something to consider!

  5. Interesting take on maximizing returns – reminds me of how platforms like 55bmw vip apk structure their VIP tiers for frequent players. Smart strategy to focus on probability & consistent play! Definitely worth exploring those reward systems.
